Dr. Xu Wenbin is Associate Chief Physician in Hematology at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai. Clinical expertise includes Multiple myeloma — novel agent therapy, bortezomib-based regimens, overcoming proteasome inhibitor resistance, Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) — venetoclax-azacitidine combinations for elderly patients, Lymphoma and other hematologic malignancies, Translational research into molecular mechanisms of drug resistance in myeloma. Contributing researcher to the identification of IRF4-BLOC1S5 gene rearrangement — the first pathogenic rearrangement gene described in TEMPI syndrome, an ultra-rare hematologic disorder; published in Haematologica (2024, DOI 10.3324/haematol.2023.284727).
