Important information about the use of this website and the coordination services provided by NF MediPath. Please read this disclaimer carefully. By accessing or using this website or our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms set out below. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.

Information only — not medical advice

The content on this website, and any information shared with you through our coordination services, is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional.

Nothing on this website should be relied upon to make decisions about your health. Always seek the advice of your own physician or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, and before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, medication, diet, or therapy. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on this website or been told in the course of our coordination services.

Medical emergencies

NF MediPath is not an emergency service and cannot provide urgent or emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, or if you believe you or another person may be in danger, call your local emergency number immediately and seek in-person assistance. Do not use this website or our services to attempt to obtain help in an emergency.

No doctor–patient relationship

Using this website, requesting a case review, or otherwise contacting NF MediPath does not create a doctor–patient relationship, a therapist–client relationship, or any other professional clinical relationship between you and NF MediPath. We do not practise medicine, and our team does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or deliver clinical care.

All diagnosis, treatment, and clinical decision-making are the sole responsibility of the licensed physicians and hospitals who treat you. A clinical relationship is formed only between you and your treating providers, in accordance with the laws and professional standards that apply to them. Where you receive treatment in mainland China, that clinical relationship is governed by the laws and professional standards of the People’s Republic of China.

Our coordination role

NF MediPath is a patient access, coordination, and concierge service for international patients seeking care in China. We help you navigate the journey — for example by reviewing your case, helping match you with an appropriate hospital and specialist, arranging remote multidisciplinary consultations, translating records, and coordinating travel, logistics, and follow-up.

Medical care is delivered by independent partner hospitals, physicians, and other licensed professionals. These providers are not employees or agents of NF MediPath, and they are solely responsible for the care, advice, and services they provide. NF MediPath does not control, supervise, or assume responsibility for the clinical care delivered by any provider.

NF MediPath is supported by United Family Healthcare (UFH), which provides operational, administrative, and technical infrastructure support. UFH does not practice medicine through NF MediPath and does not assume responsibility for clinical decisions or outcomes. UFH’s role is limited to operational support; it is not a party to the coordination services agreement between you and NF MediPath.

Remote consultation limitations

Where we arrange remote multidisciplinary consultations or second opinions, these are provided for informational purposes based on the medical records and imaging you supply. A remote consultation cannot replace an in-person examination, physical assessment, or diagnostic tests that require the patient’s presence. Any opinion or recommendation provided through a remote consultation is preliminary in nature and is subject to revision after the treating physician has had the opportunity to examine you in person. You should not rely solely on a remote consultation to make decisions about your treatment.

No endorsement or verification of providers

Information on this website about hospitals, physicians, specialties, and treatments is provided for general reference. The inclusion of any hospital, physician, or treatment on this website, or any recommendation or match we make as part of our coordination services, does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of that provider's credentials, qualifications, availability, or the quality or outcome of their care.

This website is not a tool for verifying the credentials or qualifications of any provider, and should not be used for that purpose. We encourage you to make your own enquiries and to satisfy yourself about any provider before proceeding with treatment.

No guarantee of outcomes

Medicine is not an exact science, and outcomes vary from patient to patient. NF MediPath makes no promise, guarantee, or warranty regarding the results of any consultation, treatment, or procedure, the availability of any specific hospital, physician, treatment, or appointment, or the suitability of any treatment for your particular circumstances. Any reliance you place on information provided through this website or our services is at your own risk.

Cost estimates and fees

Any cost estimates, price ranges, or comparisons provided through this website or our services are indicative only, are based on information available at the time, and may change. Final costs are determined by the treating hospitals and providers and may vary depending on your diagnosis, the treatment required, and other factors. Cost estimates do not constitute a quotation or a binding offer.

Herbal remedy and traditional medicine guidance

Where we provide information relating to traditional Chinese medicine, herbal remedies, or herb–drug interactions, this is provided for general reference and safety awareness only. It is not a prescription or a recommendation to use any particular remedy, and it does not replace advice from your treating physician. Always consult your treating physician before combining any herbal or traditional remedy with your medical treatment. Be sure to inform your treating physician of all medications, supplements, and herbal products you are currently taking.

Third-party information and links

This website may contain information drawn from third-party sources and links to external websites that are not operated by NF MediPath. We provide these for convenience and information only. A link or reference does not imply that we endorse the external website or the accuracy of any information on it. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, products, services, or privacy practices of any third-party website. If you visit a linked website, you do so at your own risk and subject to that website's own terms and policies.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and design — is the property of NF MediPath or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China and international treaties. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NF MediPath, United Family Healthcare, and their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage of any kind — whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising out of or in connection with:

  • the use of, or inability to use, this website or our coordination services;

  • any information provided on this website or through our services;

  • the clinical care, advice, treatment, or services provided by any partner hospital, physician, or other provider; or

  • any decision you make based on information obtained through this website or our services.

This website and our coordination services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, except to the extent that such warranties cannot be excluded under applicable law. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If any provision of this limitation of liability is found to be invalid or unenforceable under the Civil Code of the People’s Republic of China or other applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

Governing law and dispute resolution

This disclaimer and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this disclaimer or the services provided by NF MediPath shall be resolved through the following mechanisms:

(a) Good-faith negotiation. The parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation for a period of thirty (30) days following written notice of the dispute.

(b) Arbitration. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, either party may submit the dispute to arbitration at the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) in accordance with its then-effective arbitration rules. The seat of arbitration shall be Beijing, China. The tribunal shall consist of one (1) arbitrator appointed in accordance with the CIETAC rules. The language of arbitration shall be English. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.

(c) Consumer court jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the foregoing arbitration clause, if you are a consumer (an individual not acting for business purposes) and the laws of your jurisdiction mandate that consumer disputes be heard in the courts where you reside or provide you with mandatory protections that cannot be waived by arbitration agreement, you may elect to bring proceedings in the competent courts of your place of residence. Where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, those provisions shall prevail.

You may also, at your sole discretion, initiate proceedings before the competent People’s Courts of the place where NF MediPath has its domicile or where the disputed service was performed.

Data protection

NF MediPath processes your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China (PIPL) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). For full details of how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer from time to time. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of this website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated disclaimer. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
