Dr. Liu Zhihong is Chief Physician in Orthopedics / Joint Surgery at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai. Liu serves as Administrative Deputy Director, Orthopedics Department. Clinical expertise includes Hip and knee osteoarthritis, Femoral head necrosis, Hip dysplasia and periarticular deformity, Complex hip/knee revision arthroplasty. Unique Franco-Chinese surgical training: residency at Paris's Cochin Hospital combined with biomechanics master's degree from a French engineering school — a rare international foundation for joint arthroplasty expertise in China. Visiting Scholar, Australia (hip replacement training, Apr–Jul 2003); Visiting Scholar, Canada (knee replacement training, Sep–Nov 2006). 2,000+ hip and knee arthroplasty cases including complex revision and infection management.
