Dr. Zhang Qing is Chief Physician in Radiation Oncology at Shanghai Proton & Heavy Ion Center, Shanghai. Clinical expertise includes Lung cancer (proton and carbon ion radiotherapy), Prostate cancer (proton radiotherapy for definitive treatment), Pancreatic cancer (carbon ion + chemotherapy combined protocol), Soft tissue sarcomas (carbon ion radiotherapy — unresectable and recurrent). Founding clinical scientist at SPHIC (2014) — one of China's first radiation oncologists to treat patients with both proton beam and carbon ion radiotherapy at the country's inaugural dedicated proton-heavy ion center; co-authored the foundational evidence paper comparing charged particle therapy vs. photon therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (Radiother Oncol, 2015, PMID: 25497556) that underpinned SPHIC's HCC treatment program. One of China's first clinically active proton and carbon ion radiation oncologists — treating patients at SPHIC since its 2014 founding across lung, prostate, pancreatic, and sarcoma indications.
