Clinical expertise includes Colorectal cancer — endoscopic early diagnosis and treatment, Early gastric and GI malignancies via endoscopy, Inflammatory bowel disease, Functional gastrointestinal disorders. First-completer of the 2003 National Science & Technology Progress Award, 2nd Class, for work on gastrointestinal cancer. He Liang He Li Foundation Science & Technology Progress Award (2015).
