Professional Biography

Dr. Guan Xiyin is Associate Chief Physician in Radiation Oncology at Shanghai Proton & Heavy Ion Center, Shanghai. Clinical expertise includes Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (proton and carbon-ion radiotherapy), Adenoid cystic carcinoma, chordoma, and chondrosarcoma of the skull base, Glioma and meningioma (particle beam therapy), Proton and heavy-ion radiotherapy for head, neck, and CNS tumors. First author on China's landmark report of proton and carbon-ion therapy for chordoma and chondrosarcoma of the skull base and cervical spine (Radiation Oncology, 2019) — establishing SPHIC's clinical protocol for these rare tumors. First-author publication in Radiation Oncology (2019) on skull-base chordoma/chondrosarcoma treated with proton and carbon ions — one of SPHIC's foundational clinical papers.
