Dr. Gao Qiang is Professor & Chief Physician in Hepatobiliary & Liver Transplant Surgery at Zhongshan Hospital, Shanghai. Gao serves as Deputy Director (Associate Director), Liver Cancer Institute. Clinical expertise includes Liver cancer, Hepatocellular carcinoma, Liver transplantation, Bile duct cancer. Led the first large-scale integrated proteogenomic characterization of HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (Cell 2019) — identifying 8 molecular subtypes with distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities and transforming the understanding of liver cancer biology. Science Exploration Award (Xplorer Prize) 2024; Changjiang Scholar; National 10,000 Talent Plan — three of China's most prestigious scientific recognitions.
