Professional Biography

Dr. Fu Shen is Chief Physician, Professor in Radiation Oncology at Shanghai Proton & Heavy Ion Center, Shanghai. Fu serves as Founding Director of Radiotherapy. Clinical expertise includes Lung cancer (proton and heavy-ion radiotherapy), Esophageal cancer, Gastric cancer and colorectal cancer, Prostate cancer. Co-founded and built the clinical radiotherapy program at SPHIC — the first dedicated proton and heavy-ion cancer hospital in China, treating internationally complex cases with carbon-ion beams. Visiting Scholar, Johns Hopkins University Department of Radiation Oncology (1996–1999). Chief Scientist on China's National Key R&D Program for proton and heavy-ion radiotherapy — largest government-funded project in the field.
