Dr. Fan Youben is Chief Physician in Thyroid & Breast & Hernia Surgery at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, Shanghai. Fan serves as Director, Department of Thyroid, Parathyroid, Breast and Hernia Surgery. Clinical expertise includes Thyroid cancer (papillary, follicular, medullary) — including robotic and endoscopic resection, Breast cancer surgical management, Parathyroid disease and hyperparathyroidism, Hernia (inguinal, incisional) — laparoscopic and robotic repair. Pioneer of robotic thyroid surgery using the da Vinci Xi system in China — among the earliest adopters, building one of China's highest-volume robot-assisted endocrine surgery programs. Visiting Fellowship, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, USA (2009) — robotic surgery training.
