Dr. Dong Yuqi is Chief Physician in Orthopedics / Trauma Surgery at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai. Dong serves as Deputy Director, Orthopedics & Director of Trauma Surgery. Clinical expertise includes Severe bone and joint trauma, Complex fractures and malunion / non-union, Post-surgical orthopedic infection, Knee and elbow periarticular fractures. Founded and built the dedicated Traumatic Orthopedics Department at Renji Hospital — grew the service from a sub-specialty unit to 3,500+ surgeries per year under his leadership. Visiting Scholar, Germany (2000 and 2003) — advanced orthopedic trauma surgery techniques and hospital management at leading German trauma centers. 40+ SCI and core journal publications; 3 invention patents for orthopedic implant bioactivity technology.
