Dr. Ding Yiqun is Chief Physician in Cardiac Surgery at University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, Shenzhen. Ding serves as Director, Pediatric Cardiology (Congenital Heart Disease Surgery) & Vice Director, Cardiovascular Medical Center, HKU–Shenzhen Hospital. Clinical expertise includes Complex congenital heart disease (all types), Total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) — sutureless repair, Transposition of the great arteries (TGA) — Nikaidoh / double root translocation, Aortic coarctation and interrupted aortic arch. Achieved internationally leading outcomes in primary sutureless TAPVC repair — published comparative data (81 sutureless vs. 98 conventional cases) showing among the lowest reported mortality and pulmonary venous re-stenosis rates globally; presented at the 95th AATS Annual Meeting (2015) and published in Seminars in TCVS (2016) and Frontiers in Surgery (2023). International Fellowship (Congenital Cardiac Surgery), Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel, Petah Tikva — one full year (2003–2004).
