Dr. Cui Guoqing is Chief Physician & Professor, Sports Medicine (Shoulder & Elbow Surgery) at Peking University Third Hospital, Beijing. Cui serves as Director of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery, Department of Sports Medicine. Clinical expertise includes Rotator cuff tears and shoulder sports injuries, Recurrent shoulder dislocation and instability (arthroscopic stabilization), Elbow sports injuries, tennis elbow, and elbow arthroscopy, Knee sports injuries: ACL/PCL tears and arthroscopic reconstruction. Invented two shoulder examination tests adopted into the AAOS international guidelines — the only ones contributed from China. Visiting scholar at the University of Pittsburgh (2004), San Diego Shoulder Center (2002), and University of Sydney (2010); research fellowship in sports therapy in Japan (2000–2002). Honored as a National Distinguished Doctor (国之名医, 2019) and Golden Scalpel awardee (2024); Beijing Science & Technology Progress Award (2024); named a top-10 sports-medicine doctor for five consecutive years.
