Dr. Chen Xiaowei is Chief Physician in Otolaryngology (ENT) at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing. Chen serves as Vice Director, Department of Otolaryngology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Clinical expertise includes Hearing loss, Microtia, Cochlear implant, Otology. Pioneer of cochlear implant surgery and microtia reconstruction in China — established and advanced these programs at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), one of China's most prestigious medical institutions. Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, University of Rochester, USA (1998–2001). Postdoctoral research at University of Rochester (1998–2001) — a world-renowned center for hearing and cochlear implant research.
